Lead Imam/Khatib  (Full time) Islamic Cultural & Education Association, Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom Vacant Position:           Lead Imam/Khatib Total Hours per week:40 hours           Organisation: Islamic Cultural & Education Association (ICEA) is a leading Sunni-community based organisation responsible for one of the largest purpose built Masjid in Bradford serving a large area with strong support from the community. The organisation provides a range of services to local Muslim community as well as facilitates interfaith work. The organisation provides education for children in Nazra Qur’an, Islamic studies, Urdu and is looking to expand this to include Arabic language. This is a forward looking organisation committed to improving the facilities it provides to the local and surrounding area Muslims. The ICEA currently caters for around 300 children (Boys & Girls), aged 6 to 16 years attending part-time and employs 32 staff. Position: Due to a vacant post, we are looking to recruit a highly qualified Islamic Scholar to take lead responsbility for the Imamit and Khatib duties within the Madni Jamia Masjid. Ideal candidate will be an highly qualified Islamic scholar, mature practising Muslim with good Qur’an recitation and sound basic Islamic understanding, fluent English speaker, with a strong interest in children’s education. Main Duties 1. To provide high quality Imamit and Khatib services to the ICEA service users and local community 2. To provide a lead role in planning, monitoring, implementing and reviewing of the Madrassah (girls/boys) education 3. To assist management committee in developing other services within ICEA 4.
